Did you watch the Super Bowl?
If not, here’s who won (from Google).
Pretty cool, right!?
Google had some fun and put some fireworks in the search engine results page for the keyword “super bowl.”
Nerd Alert
Today, I want to talk to you about the SEO Super Bowl.
No. It’s not a real thing (that I’m aware of). I’m talking about search engine real estate.
Sure, ole Tom Brady pretty much owns any gridiron real estate he walks on to, but no one can claim every record (or search engine result) that’s available to them.
Why? Because records (like positions on a search engine results page) are made to be broken.
One of my absolute favorite things about SEO, once you start to “get it” is that you start to see search engine results pages for opportunities to claim real estate that’s valuable to your business. You start to find:
- Ways to understand your customer better.
- Content gaps and how to capitalize on them.
- Weak content that doesn’t fulfill intentions.
This leads to more desirable outcomes like:
- New leads generated.
- More brand awareness and business growth.
- A better understanding of your customer (yes, I put this on here twice).
How To Make It To [Your Industry’s] SEO Super Bowl
Simple: Start investing time and/or money into it.
Tom Brady didn’t just walk onto a field and start winning Super Bowls. He made investments and has stayed disciplined for decades. Check out Tom’s daily schedule:
