Math Medic

Math Medic provides high school math teachers with free, discovery-based lesson plans trusted by more than 100,000 educators across the U.S.

Math Medic had a blog worth bragging about, but it lived on a subdomain, cut off from the rest of the site. We rebuilt the marketing site and blog in WordPress, kept the portal in Strapi, and gave their team a way to publish faster with a clear view of what converts.

Challenge

Math Medic’s strong blog was walled off on its own subdomain, so its organic value never reached the main site. Their marketing site lived in Strapi, where their team’s focus was rightly on the product. Marketing content was slow to update and hard to track.

Strategy

WordPress rebuild of the marketing site and blog onto one domain, with the product portal left in Strapi, plus technical SEO, conversion tracking, SEO content, and a simplified conversion path.

Outcome

Organic traffic has climbed significantly with a 131% year-over-year increase. They can now see how visitors move from the blog and landing pages to a signup page, and the marketing team can easily update content the same day, letting the dev team stay focused on the product.

Key Features

Strategic design decisions that transformed their digital presence

Search Visibility

From Scattered to Ranking

We brought the blog and marketing site onto one WordPress domain, linked the blog to the lesson pages it supports, and rewrote the page titles to match how teachers and students search. Those pages have climbed the results page, and the blog is finally earning leads.

Conversion Tracking

The Numbers Finally Add Up

Before, Math Medic couldn’t see how people moved their site. We set up tracking that shows who arrives from the blog versus a different landing page. Now they have accurate reporting all in one place.

Content Independence

No More Waiting for a Developer

We handed their marketing team the “keys” to the new site, along with instructional videos, so they can publish content the same day they write it, giving their developers the freedom to keep improving the user portal

From strategy to launch, we'll build you a site that showcases your expertise and converts visitors into customers.

Design Strategy

We let the existing branding lead the look and designed each landing page around its most important action.
Encouraging Free Account Sign Ups

Every page steers teachers toward creating an account. The free account is the front door to lessons and the main way Math Medic turns a visitor into a user.

Programs for Teachers, by Teachers

The site leads with the teachers behind the lessons. All audiences, from teachers and schools to students, have their own easily accessible dedicated space with resources, highlighted seasonal events, and proof that switching their curriculum is worth it.

Making it Obvious What’s Free and Paid

The design draws a clear line between the free daily lessons and the paid assessments and review courses, so teachers and students know what they get before they sign up.
