McCoy has a BFA in Digital Media-2D Animation from Kendall College of Art and Design. He has 12 years of experience in the field as a visual media production specialist. He is in this field because he loves to learn! He believes there’s a natural progression that happens when you get into graphic design and marketing. A lot of knowledge and skills are adjacent and lead easily between job descriptions.

He has a Hubspot Academy Growth-Driven Design Certification.

Some of the causes that he is passionate about and has been involved with are Kids Food Basket, the Mayor’s Grand River Cleanup, and Baxter Community Center.

What Does a Web Lead Do?

As the senior member of Avalanche’s web department, the web lead is the primary facilitator of the design and development of website projects. Whether it be a new website or the enhancement of an existing website, the web lead is responsible for ensuring the project is brought to its completion. This might include connecting with the client to gather important information or materials necessary for the development process, interfacing with the development team to provide them with the tools necessary to get the job done, or even getting into the project and doing some design and development work to supplement the team’s capacity as needed.
