It happened again.

I generated a few big ticket B2B leads for a client from their website, but instead of them manually getting updated about that hot lead…

they had to wait until someone from our team emailed them about it!

It’s 2018 and a little thing called “marketing automation” exists.

The problem:
marketing and sales aren’t working well together.

This reminded me of one of my favorite movies, Forrest Gump.

Why?

Because I was thinking of the line Forrest quotes about him and Jenny:

Me and Jenny goes together like peas and carrots.”

I don’t know about you, but I don’t really love that combination. Sure, two healthy, not all that tasty foods going together. I get it.

But peas? meh.
Carrots. A little less meh.

But, that example would make so much more sense (to me) if it were something like beer and pizza.

The fact is, you need your sales and marketing to “goes together.” Even if they aren’t exactly the best separately, they are going to be better together.

Let that sink in for a second.

Your sales and marketing efforts may not be as great as they could be. But, they are far worse off if they aren’t going together the way Forrest and Jenny do.
